Description
Café de Plak is a collective café, which means that there is no boss, but all employees play a role in business operations and decisions are made democratically. The company's profits are given away to charities (in the form of grants). It is clear that this is a success; the café has been a collective for almost 40 years and is still going strong. The café has been completely vegetarian since October 2023. And they serve lots of vegan meals. We recommend the Minced Cheese dish, for which De Plak is known: it is a deep-fried ball with secret ingredients. De Plak occasionally organizes events, such as evenings with live music.
