Description
Located on one of the most famous places in Maastricht; the Market of Maastricht, you will find Café Local. In the summer there is a large terrace, in the winter you can sit inside. The menu includes Limburg classics, such as zuurvlees (a stew) (also vegan), but you will also find vegan fish & chips, pasta dishes and (vegan) croquettes. For breakfast there are a number of vegetarian options on the menu, but no vegan. But for drinks and dinner you can choose from various vegan dishes.

Good food, good service, nice terrace. Nothing to complain about, but not super special either. Just a cozy tent. As a vegan, I had the vegan sour meat (although I think it was really too sweet, but that depends more on Maastricht tastes than on the cafe, because in this city it is supposed to be sweet). And the fries are really fantastic.
