Description
Right in the center of Utrecht you will find KLUTS: a place with fresh pastries and fragrant coffee. Kluts was founded three years ago after the takeover of Carla's Conditorie. Since then they sell only plant-based pastries. You will find homemade cakes, biscuits and pies. If you're in the mood for an old-fashioned slice of apple pie or brownie, you can. But you can also go for one of the less common cakes, such as a pandan coconut cake. In any case, there is plenty of choice.

We halen hier graag 'iets voor erbij'. Altijd erg goede kwaliteit. De snickers zijn heel lekker evenals de citroenmaanzaad cake. Het zijn flinke plakken en (zeker als je bij Kluts koffie drinkt) net wat teveel. Maar je kunt wat resteert mee naar huis nemen als je dat wilt.
fijn dat alles vegan is, leuk plekje achter de DOMkerk.
Het gebak mag een beetje minder zoet.

Kluts is echt mijn favoriete taartenwinkel in Nederland, omdat de taarten precies smaken zoals je ook van de niet-vegan variant verwacht. Mijn favorieten zijn de tiramisutaart en de pandantaart. Dit soort tentjes helpen echt om veganisme mainstream te maken, want niemand mist op deze manier zuivel en eieren :) In de zomer is het er vooral erg leuk, want het terras kijkt uit over de prachtige domkerk.

We couldn’t resists getting a little cinnamon roll at Kluts in Utrecht and eating it along the canal. All their pastries are 💯 plantbased. Cute stop for coffee and a sweet.
