Description
Tuincafé Noordertuin is located in the Noorderkas at garden center Steck. Noordertuin 'feeds Utrecht from its own soil' by collaborating with local suppliers and entrepreneurs. For example, volunteers from the neighborhood grow fruit, vegetables and herbs for the café in the food garden near the terrace. The menu is completely vegetarian and organic and also includes a number of vegan dishes, such as the sandwich with broad bean hummus and roasted oyster mushrooms - which are grown on coffee grounds. Noordertuin has an attractive terrace with a view of the vegetable garden and there is a nature playground for children. If it rains, there is always a table in the spacious indoor café.
