Papa Thang is a Vientiane street food restaurant in Amsterdam Noord. After Thang Pham, the restaurant's chef, had cooked all over the world, he decided to go back to his roots. With traditional ingredients, flavours from the street and a lot of creativity, the dishes of Papa Thang are prepared. Papa Thang serves many vegan and vegetarian dishes but also meat and fish dishes.

Had a nice meal at Papa Thang. Nice little restaurant in Amsterdam North with many Vietnamese vegan dishes on the menu.
Tasty dishes, nice service, nice location.
I thought some dishes were a bit on the pricey side. If you are going to eat with 4 people, I would suggest ordering each dish twice because everything is shared dining and all dishes are quite small.

Nice restaurant on the water, you can also moor your boat! There are around 8-10 vegan options and they are all super tasty! Combination between street food and share dining. Definitely recommended for a nice meal! (Spanish wines and 6 different beers on tap!)

The location of Papa Thang is great, so nice on the water in Noord. Unfortunately, the food is of mediocre quality: much of the same soy sauce-like taste, and also on the high side in terms of price-quality. Friendly service and a nice tent, but I wouldn't make a detour for it.

Many vegan options and lots of variety! Love the creative and modernised menu. The exciting dishes and taste is worth the journey! Waterside dining in a new neighbourhood, lots of parking and sunshine. We also appreciate the effort to bring the cozy Vietnamese/French decor into the interior. Very spacious too! We dined in and take-out at the same time. There is always space to eat more delicious food 😀.
