Description

Restaurant De Beren has been around since 1984. There are now more than 50 restaurants, of which about 30 also deliver. They have breakfast, lunch and dinner dishes, even for the little ones among us. There is a lot of meat and fish on the menu, but fortunately also a good number of vegetarian options and a few vegan ones. For example, the satay can be vegan, but without prawn crackers.

I read here and on happy cow that several vegan options would be available at De Beren. On Dec 29 there was only one option. This could of course have several reasons, but I found it disappointing. The vegan option was the satay. I thought it was ok, it consisted of satay pieces with (a bit too sweet for me) peanut sauce and sweet and sour sauce. Taste is further subjective. Their own menu only states which dishes are vegetarian or can be made vegetarian. In that sense, I'm curious where the idea of multiple vegan options comes from.

At least 1 vegan option

Only 1 vegan option that I didn't like very much
