Description
Theetuin Fort Spijkerboor is a place with history. The fort was originally built to defend the Beemsterringvaart. Decades later, in World War II and beyond, it was temporarily used as an emergency prison. It is now a tea garden, where you can relax and come by for a cup of tea, a fresh sandwich or a cup of coffee. In summer they are open on weekends and public holidays, in winter they are usually closed.

Lovely terrace with nice seating areas. Neat garden, quiet area. Card with Vegan options. We enjoyed the grilled vegetables and the lemon cheesecake. Definitely a place to come back!
