Description
The Golden Temple is a vegetarian Asian restaurant. The restaurant is named after the famous Sikh temple in northern India. This temple has four doors, which symbolize that everyone, regardless of religion, is always welcome here. This is exactly what the restaurant wants to show. The way from the temple to the restaurant runs through meditation, yoga and the conscious preparation of honest dishes.

Last week we had dinner at the Golden Temple with a group of 30 people. We had a separate room at the top, very cozy. There was a set menu served, all Indian. A number of starters (pakoras, summer rolls, tofu skewers and tempura), then a number of main courses (coconut curry, tofu tikka masala, saag paneer) and 2 delicious desserts (chocolate and coconut cake). Except for the saag paneer, everything was vegan, so it was super fun and delicious. It took a bit long but hey, what do you expect with 30 people at once.

We hadn’t had indian food in so long and finally got to try The Golden Temple . They serve a lacto-vegetarian menu (no fish, meat or eggs) in a centrally located venue. Service and food was good. But Indian Amsterdam does not compare to Indian in London so far.
Curries, pizza, Mexican food - you can find it all at Golden Temple Restaurant! We had a lovely time at the window seat pillow table and enjoyed the food and friendly service. I really enjoyed the tofu tikka masala and garlic naan, but some of the flavour combinations on the thali and appetizer plate were a bit too jarring (they mixed many different types of flavours which didn't always go together). However, we still had a lovely evening here and it's a super cosy spot to spend your time at!

An Indian menu combined with pizzas: it takes some time to figure out what exactly you should eat at Golden Tempel. I opted for traditional Indian and was not disappointed: the combination board had a bit of everything and it carried. Lovely tent with a ditto atmosphere.
