Loved it here. We went for the Boozy Sunday Brunch and were treated to cocktails while a live DJ with an electric violin performed next to us. We were then brought upstairs to a beautiful airy spot with views over the Ij. We ordered the vegan sharing plates, which I thought were light, creative and delicious. I especially loved the sunflower seed risotto - so rich and interesting! Would definitely come back for a date night or brunch.

Cute spot with super friendly staff. We had the Smoky mushroom and spring special burger with fries. Both tasty!

Had such a good time here! The food is absolutely delicious and loved trying traditional Surinamese dishes. The cheesecake is also amazing, I couldn't believe it was vegan!

Quirky, cozy restaurant with a delicious seasonal surprise menu (€43.50 pp). This is a place where you feel comfortable staying for hours and I love that they host events and sustainable initiatives for the surrounding neighbourhood. Will definitely be back.

Delicious and filling Indonesian food in a cozy location in Noord. If you choose the vegan rijsttafel, you will get a selection of dishes including satay tofu, cucumber salad and crispy tempeh. Everything is very well seasoned and tastes very fresh. The spekkoek dessert is also so tasty. Will definitely come back for more!

Mana Mana has a selection of vegan and veggie plates that are great for sharing. They also have some nice non-alcoholic drinks. I do find the Pijp venue a little cramped, and it would be nice if they could give you free bread with the dishes (since their bread portions are quite small).

Absolutely loved it here. There are so many ingredients to choose from and it's really fun and handy to be able to weigh out all your food. They also have specialty products such as fresh almond milk, miso paste and delicious vegan cheeses, which you can't really find elsewhere. Finally, the in-store cafe is a lovely space to spend your morning or afternoon, enjoying chats with owners Carolina and Pomi while eating some of their tasty homemade snacks. This place is now a regular on my list!

Dignita is a brunch classic in Amsterdam. The location in the middle of the Hoftuin park is really beautiful, and it's a spot you can easily spend most of your afternoon in. They always have a few vegan options and we ordered the vegan Caesar salad and Forest Dweller's mushroom toast. My non vegan friends also had the salted caramel pancakes. I always love the mushroom toast, but the Caesar salad was a bit disappointing and it would be nice to see some more options on the menu.

What a lovely place! This restaurant, recently opened by two Italian brothers, has handmade fresh pasta and so many different and creative dishes. We tried the antipasti, a selection of different pastas and the panna cotta for dessert. You can tell the sauces and pastas are made with love - everything tastes fresh and delicious. It's hard to choose a favorite dish, but the pesto pasta, truffle ravioli and veggie bolognese really stood out. It's great to have this spot in Oost, and I'll be sure to visit again soon!

Super friendly service, delicious burgers and fries and funky music - what more could you want from a vegan fast food joint? All the meat alternatives are made in house and you can really taste the difference. Would definitely visit again!

Mogu Malatang is a great, cosy restaurant with delicious food. You choose your ingredients and broth and they cook it for you. There were three broth flavours (Japanese miso, Thai Tom Kha and Sichuan style). After this, you can also add toppings from their topping station. The food was so tasty and the staff were really friendly as well. All in all a great experience and I would love to go back soon!

Vegan Temple Bar is a cute spot in the Leidsedwarsstraat - not somewhere I would usually expect to find vegan food! They have a selection of brunch and lunch dishes. During my visit, we tried out the brunch menu. We had pancakes, the English breakfast, a mango smoothie and took some vegan stroopwafel home. Everything was really tasty. The restaurant does have a bit of a bar atmosphere which isn't what I'd typically expect from a brunch place, but the cheerful tunes and friendly staff make it a fun experience. I'd like to come again to try the lunch menu!

Anook Bakehouse is such a cozy and cute spot! They have a really welcoming terracotta desert style interior and a small outdoor terrace where we enjoyed our treats. In terms of food, Anook has some amazing desserts with a good selection of vegan and gluten free options. I tried the Oreo cake, cinnamon sugar donut and mushroom coffee. The cake was a bit too sweet for me, but the donuts are one of the reasons I keep coming back to Anook - so fluffy and delicious! I’d recommend this place to anyone who’s looking for a snack or a break in the Pijp - there’s something here for everyone and you’ll come out feeling full and refreshed!

Delicious Israeli food in a friendly neighbourhood setting. They have a lot of veggie and vegan friendly options. My favorite is the fried cauliflower hummus with pita chips - so tasty! They also have a nice selection of lemonades and drinks.

Meatless District is an Amsterdam vegan classic, and it's not hard to see why. One of the few "fancier" vegan places, it has a wide range of options for lunch and dinner which will satisfy any palate. I went here for lunch and was pleasantly surprised by all the options available. MD have really great cocktails (still craving their Bloody Mary), delicious loaded toasts and a selection of salads and burgers. One of my favourite things we tried was the tomato "smoked salmon" on a cream cheese bagel - the salmon was so juicy and delicious, and I would definitely come back for that! I would have scored them higher but did find some some dishes were quite expensive (for e.g., 16.50EUR for a Caesar salad - even though it is massive!). However, they're a great spot for a vegan brunch and somewhere I will be back soon!

The cutest place for a vegan friendly high tea! We went to sit at Rose and Vanilla on a cold, rainy day and were welcomed by the lovely warm environment and friendly staff. They have so many beautiful cakes on display, which is great for awakening your appetite! We had the vegan high tea, which started with a plate of savoury soups, salads and mini sandwiches. Everything was so delicious and the soup was a really nice addition for the cold day! After this, we received a stunning cake shelf with chocolate truffles, mini carrot cakes, apple crumble, brownies and cheesecake. It was such a treat and all the cakes were sooo good (I was surprised everything was vegan!). Rose and Vanilla also have a lovely selection of coffees and teas, and I would definitely recommend trying the Buchu tea. Rose and Vanilla pride themselves on offering options for everybody - they cater to gluten free, lactose free and vegan diets. This means you can enjoy yourself no matter your eating habits. I will definitely be back soon to enjoy some more vegan cake!

Curries, pizza, Mexican food - you can find it all at Golden Temple Restaurant! We had a lovely time at the window seat pillow table and enjoyed the food and friendly service. I really enjoyed the tofu tikka masala and garlic naan, but some of the flavour combinations on the thali and appetizer plate were a bit too jarring (they mixed many different types of flavours which didn't always go together). However, we still had a lovely evening here and it's a super cosy spot to spend your time at!

Madre is somewhere that really takes the Amsterdam vegan scene to the next level. They have delicious cocktails and a menu where nothing disappoints. Some highlights for me were the peanut and mushroom tostadas which were so rich and creamy, the birria queso tacos which were made with 3D printed meat and tasted soo realistic, and the desserts (the tres leches broiche from Saint Jean is just wow). Madre is somewhere I would happily go back to and recommend to anyone!

Margo's is a lovely organic vegan bakery in the Jordaan. Their terracotta interior is warm and welcoming, with a delicious smell of freshly baked goods and coffee. Margo's is owned by Aidan and Margo, who felt there weren't enough options for vegan pastries in Amsterdam. It's hard to pick what to try, but I ended up taking the chocolate hazelnut danish, tahini bun, chocolate chip cookie and crispy tofu sandwich. Everything was so tasty and I really enjoyed the different textures and flavours they achieved with each pastry. The sandwich was also one of the best vegan sandwiches I've had in Amsterdam - really savoury and satisfying. Overall, it was a great experience and I also enjoyed speaking with Aidan and Margo about their journey and why they decided to open up their shop. I'll definitely be back for more bites soon!

📍De Ceuvel, Amsterdam Noord. Split pea hummus & oyster mushroom croquettes 🍄❤️ This cute outdoors cafe/restaurant by the water has some great vegan options and is the best place to spend a warm weekend afternoon. They’re also really focused on sustainability and have creative workshops and talks almost every week 🍃🌿

🥐Vegan almond cream croissant🥐 A few weeks ago I made my boyfriend Walt scooter me across the city to visit Koffie en de koeck to try out their vegan #semla buns🛵. Unfortunately when we arrived they were all sold out, but the lovely lady at the store suggested getting an almond croissant with cream instead and it was amazingggg 🤩👌🏼✨ if you haven’t visited Koffie ende Koeck yet it’s totally worth the visit from wherever you are in the city, just show up early before things sell out (or come late and get a delicious alternative instead 🤪)

The vegan caesar salad from the Tollhuistuin has my heart 💚🥗 and the vegan parm they use for it is amazing! Tolhuistuin also has a number of other vegan dishes and is a great option if you want to sit outside/drink cocktails/eat with some non vegan friends. We got the roasted artichoke (10/10), vegan rendang (7/10 - a bit too intense for me) and bara with cauliflower curry burger (not pictured - 9/10).

Tikka masala pita wrap from Veesch noch Visch 💛 these vegan wraps are the best for a quick lunch on the go when you’re in Amsterdam west. Vlees noch Visch also have an Indonesian & Greek version of the wraps 🌯🌯

Vegan fine dining at Otto Volante 🍷 was so impressed by this creative 5 course dinner with the best natural wines on the side 👌🏼 we had: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ - Chickpea cannoli & some kind of pancake with radish pickle - Pumpkin, celeriac and Jerusalem artichoke with a miso foam - Kohlrabi with Sichuan pepper & Korean plum - Roasted cauliflower and cabbage with samphire sauce and brioche - A dessert of raspberry, figs and chocolate ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 📍Save this hotspot for the next time you’re looking for a cosy night out! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I had a 5 course dinner at restaurant Entrepot last night ✨ loved how fresh and light all the dishes were - highlights were probably the oyster mushroom starter and grilled oxheart cabbage main. Would recommend getting the wine menu if you can as well! 🍷

I had a pistachio cruffin from SAINT-JEANl ! 💚 the pastries at Saint Jean are actually insane and it’s great to see how popular this plantbased bakery is (there’s always a line out front). It’s easy to be vegan when the baked goods are this good! 🤩
