When Margo and her husband decided to go vegan, they missed one thing: Croissants! After a lot of practice, they made the perfect croissant from tasty plant-based butter. They want to share this with everyone. In addition to croissants, Margo's also sells all kinds of delicious American style cookies and sandwiches and coffee. Everything is plant-based. Margo's is a bakery where you can pick up delicacies. They have no seats inside.

Margo's is a lovely organic vegan bakery in the Jordaan. Their terracotta interior is warm and welcoming, with a delicious smell of freshly baked goods and coffee. Margo's is owned by Aidan and Margo, who felt there weren't enough options for vegan pastries in Amsterdam. It's hard to pick what to try, but I ended up taking the chocolate hazelnut danish, tahini bun, chocolate chip cookie and crispy tofu sandwich. Everything was so tasty and I really enjoyed the different textures and flavours they achieved with each pastry. The sandwich was also one of the best vegan sandwiches I've had in Amsterdam - really savoury and satisfying. Overall, it was a great experience and I also enjoyed speaking with Aidan and Margo about their journey and why they decided to open up their shop. I'll definitely be back for more bites soon!

Completely in love with the vegan cheese croissant! There were 2 more, my friend and I took one to share and walked back later to take the last one as well. Also delicious sandwiches! We took one with seitan and hoisin sauce and a vegan cheese & steak. And my friend says the coffee was great too.

Visited Margo's to get some of their vegan croissants but unfortunately they were already sold out when we got there. We ended up getting one of their sandwiches instead. Hoping to go back soon - and early this time to get some of their pastries!
For a vegan croissant: look no further. They are crunchy and simply fantastic. You can't get any better than that.

WOW! OMG! AMAZING! Margo's lives up to everything they say, these croissants are so incredibly tasty. Making vegan croissants is really not easy, because I have already tried a number of them and they were often disappointing. But these croissants are REALLY good! I had one with cheese, yum!
