Description
Restaurant BROEI is a modern living room restaurant with a front garden on the Oosterkade. The restaurant is completely plant-based and the interior is also very green, which gives it a very nice atmosphere. BROEI is open from early in the morning until late in the evening, with a suitable menu for every part of the day. For example, you can eat pancakes as an early bird, but also have an extensive drink with bbq cauliflower wings and celeriac nuggets. In the evening a 3, 4 or 5 course menu is available. The menu changes every two months. A fun fact about BROEI is that they also get a lot of vegetables from enthusiastic home growers who bring their stuff from their vegetable garden to the restaurant.

Very balanced dishes with a variety of flavors and seasonal vegetables. Spectaculair food and surprising drinks which where very tasty. Lovely spot at the water.
Lovely friendly place with tasty and creative dishes! Everything is plant based and they have a fine dining menu that still feels very grounded. Great place to spend an evening with friends.
The 5 course menu is well priced (43.50) and I liked that you had some choice between the courses. They used innovative ingredient combinations (eg vegan nduja from chickpeas, lion’s mane steak) and everything was really tasty. I also loved the lychee kombucha!
The cheese plate dessert wasn’t my favorite, could have been a bit more interesting
Had a delicious lunch with a delicious Brussels sprouts rendang sandwich. It is nicely decorated, has a nice terrace and quick service. It is always busy, so make sure you make a reservation (especially in the evening).

During a day trip to Utrecht I visited this lovely vegan spot Broei for lunch with a friend, and we loved it! The food was divine, super fresh, flavourful, and clearly prepared with love 🤗. The service was great and I loved the chill and gezellig atmosphere inside 💚
