Description
Meatless District opened its doors in 2016. A vegan restaurant with an industrial look, inspired by the Meatpacking District in New York. Their motto: everything you eat here must be freaking delicious! Meatless District has a varied menu and their vegan products come from local producers. The restaurant tries to inspire people with its delicious vegan dishes in order to grow the vegan community. They are open for lunch, drinks and dinner with a menu full of plant-based dishes and if you fancy a cocktail you have come to the right place.
Absolutely wonderful place and gentle service. The mocktail ordered was supposed to be a surprise and indeks it was a really good one. King sth and Rainbow sth from the menu - small her felt luxurous. Enjoyed every bit. Would recommend of you like a small fancy evening out.

The food was reasonable (Lunch menu), nothing special but not bad or anything, the service was not the fastest but kept moving. And during the service, the chef was constantly swiping, touching, liking, scrolling on her dirty phone, not washing her hands and continuing to cook.... Overall and mediocre experience, we won't be back unfortunately. .
The food was delicious.

Meatless District is an Amsterdam vegan classic, and it's not hard to see why. One of the few "fancier" vegan places, it has a wide range of options for lunch and dinner which will satisfy any palate. I went here for lunch and was pleasantly surprised by all the options available. MD have really great cocktails (still craving their Bloody Mary), delicious loaded toasts and a selection of salads and burgers. One of my favourite things we tried was the tomato "smoked salmon" on a cream cheese bagel - the salmon was so juicy and delicious, and I would definitely come back for that! I would have scored them higher but did find some some dishes were quite expensive (for e.g., 16.50EUR for a Caesar salad - even though it is massive!). However, they're a great spot for a vegan brunch and somewhere I will be back soon!
All the toasts and sandwiches, cocktails, very friendly staff, nice classy atmosphere

Meal: Smoked no salmon bagel, mushroom toast with avocado hollandaise, caesar salad, bloody mary, hugo spritz (vegan)
Great restaurant. I visit this restaurant often because of the food, the vibe and the personnel. My absolute favourite desert is here: the blueberry cheesecake, which is a perfect taste for me, not too sweet and super tasty. I tried most of the dishes and none of them disappointed in taste. Their ginger tea is also impressive, rich in flavour, which I have not tasted at any other restaurant in Amsterdam. In rest I love all the dishes, the snacks(the foie grois), the flavours. The service is another strong point as they show attention and care to the client. I appreciate that they offer water every time, which is so simple but so rare in restaurants in Amsterdam. The team working there shows professionalism and warmth and welcoming with a smile, which is one of those simple things that make an impact. All in all, it is my favourite vegan restaurant in Amsterdam and always return with pleasure. I definitely recommend this restaurant, which I did to many friends who enjoyed it.
Food, atmosphere, personnel, blueberry cheesecake, ginger tea, attention to detail, nice management.
My least favourite thing here are the sweet potatoes as they often are quite heavy and not the best I’ve tasted in Amsterdam. The prices are quite on the high range but worth it.

Delicious various lunch dishes, I love the croquettes and the bagel!

Meatless District used to be one of our only options when we first visited Amsterdam a few years ago. And I remember us struggling to get a booking 😅. We recently went back and were surprised to see their menu has shortened over the years (or our memory is failing us). The atmosphere was nice and casual and the food was good but with Amsterdam multiplying its vegan options meatless isn’t at the top of our list anymore but still a good safe option if you’re looking for a fully plantbased restaurant. Some of the things we tried: mushrooms on toast, french onion soup and their burgers. A more simple, casual menu with just a few mains (don’t bring your big eater friends here).
At Meatless district you can eat delicious vegan dishes. Very accessible restaurant. The food here is tasty and the atmosphere is good.

As a non-vegan, you sometimes just walk into a tent because you know: I can always find something tasty to eat here. Meatless District is such a place for me. No fuss, just a straightforward, tasty vegan meal.
