Noord has another hotspot. The makers of Pllek have opened NEXT, a cocktail bar, restaurant, lounge, grand café and brasserie in one. Here they serve dishes that are inspired by dishes from all over the world. With a beautiful view over the IJ you can enjoy dishes all day long, from breakfast to dinner. You can enjoy the cocktails and drinks until late at night. The restaurant is vegetarian friendly, but unfortunately not as vegan friendly as it used to be.

The appearance of NEXT is great, what a pontifical building right on the NDSM with a super hip design. It doesn't work as well as if the audience is hip. The dishes are a bit hit-or-miss. For an evening of style, but not super super food.

Loved it here. We went for the Boozy Sunday Brunch and were treated to cocktails while a live DJ with an electric violin performed next to us. We were then brought upstairs to a beautiful airy spot with views over the Ij. We ordered the vegan sharing plates, which I thought were light, creative and delicious. I especially loved the sunflower seed risotto - so rich and interesting! Would definitely come back for a date night or brunch.

Next is a hip restaurant on the NDSM wharf with a beautiful view over the IJ. The restaurant has a beautiful appearance with sleek wooden furniture and a large bar. In addition to food, this restaurant is also suitable for an evening drink. The concept is shared dining and the dishes are as large as a starter. We ordered all the main dishes on the menu and 1 side dish. Some dishes were really tasty and others I liked less. Overall we had a nice evening and a delicious meal.

I thought a few slices of heirloom tomatoes as a side dish for 8 euros was absolutely ridiculous.
