Description
BACKYARD wants to break the stereotype surrounding veganism. They do this by serving vegan dishes that appeal to all types of eaters. The restaurant has a relaxed atmosphere and is the 'urban backyard' in the heart of Rotterdam. You can sit inside in BACKYARD or, if the weather is good, on the terrace. The menu is basically vegan, but with add-ons they also cater to guests who do not wish to eat completely vegan.

We love Backyard a lot, it became our 'Go-To' place when we feel like having a drink and a nice simple bite. But it is also perfect for having a nice lunch/diner! The menu is not super special, but there is nothing wrong with that :) We can recommend visit this nice restaurant!

We went to Backyard for lunch and were happy to see that we could still order from the breakfast menu as well. The place is nice (and spacious) and the staff was very friendly. We ordered the oreo cake, the waffles and the feta wrap. The oreo cake was as sweet and delicious as we had hoped for and we truly enjoyed the huge piece of cake. We also really liked the taste of the feta wrap - the feta was tasty and the veggies in it were crispy, the sauce was good as well. Only the waffles did unfortunately not meet our expectations. The waffle it self wasn't really special and the blueberry topping was not fresh. We will however be back to try some of their other dishes in the future :)
